It was in Washington, DC in 2019 where Kathleen Alcorn discovered a shared interest in protecting our national security through blockchain. Kathleen was invited to speak at a blockchain conference at the George Mason School of Law. It was there that she defined the importance of educating regulators, lawmakers, and the general public on the significance of blockchain technology throughout all industries. Kathleen shared her experience in the regulatory space, specifically on the financial sector side, who, in the years leading to this conference and the founding of ATOLLetc LLC, adamantly dismissed cryptocurrency and blockchain as irrelevant. Kathleen stressed the open borders the United States has left for global money laundering as we continue to pass laws to simply acknowledge that blockchain exists. Asked by some of her panel attendees, “Why are you the only civilian talking about this?” Kathleen replied, “Until now, I thought I was the only person talking about this.”
Kathleen later met Boguslaw “Bogie” Wozniak at another blockchain conference in Washington, DC at the Press Club. With the understanding of the great benefits of digital identity protection through blockchain, Kathleen and Bogie began to collaborate on many projects.
Michael “Mike” Alwood joined ATOLLetc LLC in 2023, with his extensive background in energy, critical infrastructure, and group benefit plans where he saved the City of Springfield, IL over $50 million during his time as a union representative on the insurance committee. Mike has added a great level of success to the ATOLLetc LLC story through his contract and negotiation skills, and ability to quickly engage with high-level stakeholders on a global level.
